Postgraduate Course organised by
IDCA/WGO, EAGE-IWGCO and the WGO Rabat Training Centre

The International Digestive Cancer Alliance (IDCA - Cancer Division of the
World Gastroenterology Organization), together with the WGO Rabat Training
Center, the European Association of Gastroenterology and the International
Working Group for the Classification of Oesophagitis, are proud to announce
this unique congress which includes an interactive postgraduate course and a
scientific symposium focusing on the challenges of digestive oncology with a
special emphasis on the African and Middle East region. Details of the
programme as well as guidelines for the submission of scientific abstracts
can be found on the SAGES website www.sages.co.za as well as on www.worldgastroenterology.org.
A Call for Abstracts has been issued. We hope that through this medium, we
are able to support, encourage and highlight research being done by local
gastroenterologists and oncologists. Abstracts should focus on tumours from
the digestive tract, liver and pancreas and should be sent to the IDCA
Executive Secretariat, Medconnect (Email: Cherane.Ali@IDCA.de) before the
deadline 15.12.2007. Awards will be given to the 5 best posters and 5 best
oral presentations. All speakers and presenters of posters will gain free
admission to the entire two-day congress.
The language for the congress will be English, and simultaneous
French/English translation will be available for the presentations and
discussion.
Live Transmission of the programme will be coordinated at Wits, UKZN and UCT.
